Joyce Hudson, 78, of Carthage, passed away on Thursday night, Jan. 25, 2018, in Tyler. Joyce Lee Mayhaw Hudson was born on Oct. 24, 1939, to the late Edward Stanson and Edna Elizabeth Ogden Mayhaw. She attended Carthage schools. She married Billy Ray Hudson. Mrs. Hudson lived most of her life in Carthage and was a member of the Abundant Life Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Susan Bearden; son, Stan Dooling; granddaughter, Bridgett Bearden; sister, Dot Morse; and brothers, C.W. and Billy Moore.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Hudson of Carthage; daughter, Karen Ishee of Carthage; sisters, Jim Nail, Betty Wills and husband Grady, and Linda Fields and husband Jerrell all of Carthage; sisters-in-law, Mary Moore of New Summerfield and Ruby Moore of Carthage; grandchildren, Mandy Grisham and husband Toby, Shayne Shadowens and wife Casi, and Casey Ishee; great-grandchildren, Hope Hughes and husband Lee and Derek Ishee; and great-great-grandchildren, Tinleigh, Levi, and Grant. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends also survive.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 29, 2018, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Betty Wills officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Gerold Moore, Ronnie Anderson, Lee Hughes, Michael Edge, Jarrett Fields and  Kourt Brown.
