Joyce Deatherage, 76, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Tuesday night, March 24, 2020, in Carthage. Joyce Almarie Dickerson was born on Nov. 23, 1943, in California.  She graduated Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, TX and attended college in Espanola, NM where she earned an Associate's Degree in Business. Mrs. Deatherage was a homemaker. She moved to Panola County in 2007, from Arizona. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Bobby Joe Jones and James R. Deatherage; a son, Vaughn Deatherage; and siblings.

Survivors include her children, JoiMaree Naranjo, Dawn A. Deatherage, JeNette Reed, JeriLinn Jones, James R. Deatherage and JanNel Jones; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.

Cremation arrangements are by Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
