Funeral services for Mr. Joshua Wade Shaw, age 31, of Beckville, TX, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Bar None Cowboy Church near Tatum, TX with Pastor Jason Taylor officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Connor Cemetery near Beckville. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Shaw passed away on Saturday morning, May 14, 2011, in Beckville.

Joshua Wade Shaw was born on Jan. 15, 1980, in Lake Charles, LA to Jerrell Wayne and Cheryl Lynn Pharris Shaw. He graduated from Parkview High School in Sulphur, LA with the class of 1999. Joshua was reared in DeQuincy, LA and was baptized and saved at Bible Baptist Church at a very young age. He married April Donielle Hilliard on Jan. 15, 2000, in Blossom, TX. Joshua worked as a pipe fitter for Kellogg Brown & Root at Texas Eastman. He moved to Beckville in 2008, from Mineral, IL. Joshua attended the Bar None Cowboy Church near Tatum, where he was recently baptized for a second time. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, J.W. Shaw; his maternal grandmother, Eveleyn Mae Pharris; one uncle, Gary Shaw; and two aunts, Louis Murray and Kathy Pharris.

Joshua is survived by his wife, April Shaw of Beckville; his parents, Jerrell and Cheryl Shaw of Beckville; three children, Wade, Hailey, and Courtney Shaw all of Beckville; paternal grandmother, Nora Lee Miller of Beckville; maternal grandfather, William Pharris of DeQuincy; three brothers, Brandon and Wayne Shaw of Dallas and Chad Shaw of New Orleans; three aunts, Lynn Shaw, Rhonda Blair, and Renee Mock; and one uncle, Dallas Blair.

Serving as pallbearers are Timmy Mock, Billy Ray Ashworth, Kyle Pharris, Guy Davis, Heath Wells, and Justin Sharp. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Jamie Blair, Marcus Horton, and Tim Liles.
