Johnny R. Jacks, 72, of Tyler, TX, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020, in Tyler. Johnny Ray Jacks was born on Nov. 21, 1947, in Mansfield, LA to the late Norman N. and Mary Ann Rita Aucoin Jacks. He attended Carthage schools and worked his lifetime as a truck driver. Mr. Jacks was raised a Master Mason in 1997, with Carthage Masonic Lodge #521 A.F. & A.M. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Danny Jacks.

He is survived by his sons, Steve Jacks, Jeff Jacks and wife Shannon, and Greg Jacks all of Carthage; sisters, Debbie Johnson and husband Ross of Carthage and Janet Tate and husband Don of Pineland; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020, at the First United Methodist Church in Carthage. A private burial will take place at Jacks Cemetery in Pineland. Cremation arrangements are by Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
