Funeral services for Mrs. Johnnie Graham Crawford Ferris, age 61 years of Beckville, Texas, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2006 at the Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Jack Harris and Kim Hagedorn officiating. Interment will follow in Youngblood Cemetery. Mrs. Ferris passed away on Friday, February 3, 2006 at her home in Beckville after a battle with cancer.
Johnnie Graham Crawford Ferris was born March 9, 1944 in Marshall, Texas to Graham and Belle Muntz Crawford. Mrs. Ferris married Albert Ferris, Jr. on June 5, 1981 and lived in Beckville all of her life. She was an educator for thirty-three years teaching in both private and public schools. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jerry Hughes.
Mrs. Ferris is survived by her husband, Albert Ferris, Jr. of Beckville; son and daughter-in-law, James Graham and Julie Ferris of Brisbane, Australia, step-daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Bruce Bridgeman of Great Falls, Montana; eight step-grandchildren, Jessica and Andrew of Brisbane, Ben, Faith, Hope, Beau, Brady and Zane of Great Falls; one aunt, Bob Whittle of New Boston, Texas; cousins, Suzy Skinner of Garland, Texas, Kay Schulberger of Ottsville, Pennsylvania; Barbara Filburn of Dayton, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Sheriann Hess of Brawley, California and Barbara Reed of Los Angeles, California and many other relatives and friends also survive.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dave Creel, Mike Edens, Stephen Endsley, Clifford Harkless, R. L. Holland, Brian Knight, Calvin Westmorland, and Charles Williams. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Dr. George Bennett, George Clakley, Richard Jinks, Wayne Kyle, Vernon Simpson, Herman Collins, Matt Jinks, Quincy Jinks, Bill Chism, Robert Fite, Charles Hugh Gillis, and Danny Gillis.
