Obituary
Mr. John Henry Shoemaker, age 63, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2011, in Carthage. There will be no services planned at this time and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
Mr. John Henry Shoemaker was born on March 12, 1948, in Philadelphia, PA to Tom Leroy and Elizabeth Issett Shoemaker. He graduated from Edgwood, PA High School with the class of 1966. He graduated from University of Miami, FL with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and Chemistry.
Mr. Shoemaker earned his Master's Degree from East Texas State University. He worked as a science teacher for Beckville I.S.D. for many years. He moved to Carthage from Nacogdoches over 25 years ago. Mr. Shoemaker was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Tom Leroy Shoemaker, Jr.; and one baby sister, Elizabeth Shoemaker.
Mr. Shoemaker is survived by his wife, Cindy Shoemaker of Carthage and one daughter Jenna Thomas and husband Anthony of Ft. Worth.
