John Anthony Schellhorn, II, 83, of the Woods Community in Panola County, TX, passed away on Thursday evening, Jan. 10, 2019, in Shreveport. He was born on May 11, 1935, in Ft. Worth, TX to the late John Anthony Schellhorn, Sr. and Lucy Mae Tomlinson Schellhorn. He graduated from Ball High School in Galveston with the class of 1953, and earned a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Houston. John married the love of his life, Joy Parker, on July 13, 2001, in Austin, TX. He loved being outdoors, was an avid gardener, and loved having his hands in the dirt. He traveled extensively around the world and in later years enjoyed being at home on his land. John was a member of the Tenaha Masonic Lodge #737 where he served as treasurer.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Joy Schellhorn; son, John A. Schellhorn, III and wife Tammy; daughter, Nodgie Schellhorn Brewer and husband Keith; son, Garrett Schellhorn; and grandchildren, Nodgie Michelle Zulkowski, Ian and Eric Schellhorn, Rebekah Anne Parker, Molly Joy Cooke, and Sam Parker.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
