Funeral services for Mrs. Toshika Renaunce Henderson, age 29, and Baby Johnathan LaRoyce Xavier Miles, age 3, both of Carthage, TX, will be held at 11 a.m. on Sat. June 19, 2010, at Southside Baptist Church in Carthage with Rev. L.W. Thorn, Rev. Edwin Lee, and Evangelist Reginald Moore officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Oddfellows Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Henderson and Baby Miles passed away on Thurs. morning, June 10, 2010, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Toshika Renaunce Henderson was born on Nov. 14, 1980, in Panola County, TX to George Felton Johns, Jr. and June Elaine Henderson. She graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1999, where she participated in band, NHS, and was a twirler. She attended Panola College and later attended the United Education Inst. in San Diego, where she earned a medical assistant certificate, graduating the top of her class with a 4.0 GPA. Toshika lived most of her life in Carthage and was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dora Mae Henderson and Frank Smith and her paternal grandparents, George Felton Johns, Sr. and Carolyn Dean Johns.

Toshika is survived by her husband, Johnny LaRoyce Miles of Carthage; mother, June Taylor of Carthage; father, George Johns, Jr. of Texarkana; three daughters, Timea Sigler of Carthage, Jaynai Kenyane Miles of Waskom, and Breyaunna Sigler of Killeen; three brothers, Gregoree Johns of Dallas, George Johns, III of Denver, and Dominique Cheney of Longview; two sisters, Treneka Cade of Carthage and Cecilia Johns of Texarkana; two special fathers, Elliott Cade of Scottsville and Darryl Dewayne Taylor of Marshall; mother-in-law, Augustine Miles of Shreveport; two special grandmothers, Polly Fisher of Scottsville and Ethel Brown of Marshall; and 1 very special friend, Tara Rose of Vivian. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends also survive Toshika.

Baby Johnathan LaRoyce Xavier Miles was born on May 3, 2007, in Henderson, TX to Johnny LaRoyce Miles and Toshika Renaunce Henderson. He attended The Knowledge Nook, where he was at the top of his class.

Baby Johnathan is survived by his father, Johnny LaRoyce Miles of Carthage; 3 sisters, Timea Sigler of Carthage, Jaynai Kenyane Miles of Waskom, and Breyaunna Sigler of Killeen; maternal grandparents, June Taylor of Carthage, George Felton Johns, Jr. of Texarkana, Darryl Dewayne Taylor of Marshall, and Elliott Cade of Scottsville; paternal grandparents, Augustine Miles of Shreveport, Bennie Evans, Sr. of Shreveport, Johnny Roy Miles of Dallas; paternal great-grandmother, Fannie B. Miles of Waskom; paternal great-great grandmother, Almeda Brown of Waskom; uncle, Fredrick Alexander and wife Felicia of Shreveport; aunt, Treneka Cade of Carthage; uncle, Gregoree Johns of Dallas; uncle, George Johns, III of Denver; aunt, Cecilia Johns of Texarkana, uncle, Dominique Cheney of Longview; and two special grandmothers, Polly Fisher of Scottsville and Ethel Brown of Marshall. Numerous great-uncles, great-aunts, cousins, and other relatives also survive Baby Johnathan.

Serving as pallbearers are Michael Pipkins, Virgil Hardy, Andre Guinn, Kenneth Pipkins, Wade Walter, Jr., Wade Walter, III, Calvin Beales, James Redmon, Raymond Abercrumbie, Damon Roberts, Raydell, Pipkins, and Robert Hardy.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Kereshia, Bianca, Erika, and Jarvis Henderson for always being there for Baby Johnathan throughout the years and also to Mr. Charles Leary.
