Jody Lee Youngblood, 53, of Carthage, Texas, passed away on Monday night, April 1, 2024, at his home near Carthage. He was born on January 15, 1971, in Carthage to the late Odell and Sandra Jean Miller Youngblood. Jody graduated from Gary High School with the class of 1989. He worked in the Pipeline Construction Industry all of his career and was currently employed as a Superintendent with (API) Absolute Pipeline Inc. Jody loved his pipeline family and cherished the relationships he had with fellow pipe liners through the years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with friends and family. He and Lesley were married on February 9, 2019, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church near Carthage. Jody was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Youngblood and a sister, Zada Wiggins.

He is survived by his wife, Lesley Youngblood; children, Leann Youngblood and boyfriend Jarett Jones and Ryan Youngblood and girlfriend Skylar Brando; step-son, Ethan Bell; siblings, Chris Youngblood and wife Teresa, Lori Shrell and husband Donnie, and Paul Youngblood and fiancé Michele Luera; nephews, Justin and Joseph Youngblood; nephews, Brant, Dusty, and Seth Shrell; niece, Shelby Baker; nephew, Clayton Youngblood; nieces, Kristy Williams and Rhoushanda Benitez; and nephew, Phillip Wiggins. Numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends also survive.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Justin McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Bethel Cemetery near Gary, Texas. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Jarrett Fields, Stephen Elliott, Billy Downing, Marvin Ritter, Justin Youngblood, Joseph Youngblood, and Mike Bryce.
