Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy B. Owens, age 40 of Panola County, Texas, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. George L. Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Jerusalem Fairplay Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Owens passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 in Shreveport.

Jimmy Burnette Owens was born on March 2, 1967 in Carthage, Texas to Jimmy Lee and Lovelle Tatum Owens. He worked as a auto mechanic. Mr. Owens was baptised at Shady Grove Methodist Church and was a member of Community Faith Ministries Church. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Owens is survived by one brother, Bobby Owens and wife Darlene and four sisters, Acqurel Jackson and husband Tommy, Shurronda Henderson and husband Kurt, Ugala Smith and husband Charles all of Carthage and Vanessa Carter of Mansfield, La. five Nieces, two Nephews and a host of Aunts,Uncles other relatives and many friends.

Serving a pallbearers are Clifford Boatman, Larry Allison, Julia Owens, Tamara Tucker, Gary Tatum and James Wilcot.

Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Jackson, Anthony Allison, Kurt Henderson, Charles Smith,John Allison and George Castleberry.
