Jimmy Ray Hodge, 48, of Gary, TX, passed away on Saturday evening, Aug. 3, 2019. He was born on March 28, 1971, in Houston, TX to Theron Odell and Cathey Youngblood Hodge. Jimmy attended Gary Schools and worked for many years in the roofing industry. He loved hunting, fishing, and having a good time with his family and friends. Jimmy was of the Assembly of God faith. His father preceded him in death.

Survivors include his mother, Cathey Youngblood Hodge of Gary; son, Austin Hodge of Carthage; brother, Lonnie Hodge of Gary; sisters, Cathy Lee Rickett and fiancé Mark Vulich and Stephanie Ann Guynes and husband Tommy all of Gary; aunts, Claudine Hodge, Fannie Pearl Hodge, and Pansy Hodge; and uncles, Rusty Hodge and David Browd Hodge.

A graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, Aug. 9, 2019, at Mt. Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 10-11 a.m. on Friday morning at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
