Funeral services for Mrs. Jetter Mae Geter, age 87, of Carthage, TX, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2011, at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in Deadwood. The family will receive friends at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Geter passed away on Thursday night, June 23, 2011, in Fort Worth.

Jetter Mae Mason Geter was born
on March 2, 1924, in Panola County, TX to Alex and Sarah Brown Mason. Mrs. Geter married Sie Geter, Sr. and he preceded her in death. She lived in Panola County all of her life. Mrs. Geter was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Margaret Sutton; one grandson, Taraveon Sutton; and five siblings, L.C. Mason, Walter B. Mason, Elliott Mason, Dorothy Adams, and Luella Chatham.

Mrs. Geter is survived by one son, Sie Geter, Jr. of Carthage; one daughter, Bettie Ann Geter of Carthage; seven grandchildren, Onterio Sutton, Uronica Sutton, Angel Sutton, Sherri Sutton, Shaquilla Sutton, Jason Geter, and Kambry Geter; seven great-grandchildren, Dadrian Johnson, Adaja Cummings, Tanner Sutton, Dwayne Edwards, Shasmine Hicks, Sabrina Jones, and Jailina Jones; and one great-great-grandchild, Blair Amerson, Jr.
