Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie L. Allison, age 69 of the Fair Play Community, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at House of Faith Ministries Church with Pastors Robert G. Lewis, Sr. and Kerry Allison officiating. Interment will follow in the Jerusalem Fair Play Cemetery under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. A wake will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Allison passed away on Monday, November 5, 2007 at her home in the Fair Play Community.
Jessie L. Williams Allison was born on November 12, 1937 in Panola County, Texas to Grover and Bernice Owens Williams. Mrs. Allison graduated from Beckville High School and went on to earn an LVN certificate from Panola College in Carthage. She married Reverend Bobby Joe Allison on December 30, 1953 in the Pine Hill Community. She worked at Panola General Hospital, later ETMC Carthage, for over 27 years. She later worked at We Care Adult Day Center in Carthage where she led a fitness and devotion class. Mrs. Allison was an ordained minister and she loved to pray for the sick. She loved her community and the community loved her. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed cooking for them. Mrs. Allison had lived her lifetime in Panola County and was a member of the House of Faith Ministries Church in Carthage. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one son, Bobby Dall Allison.
Mrs. Allison is survived by her husband of 53 years, Reverend Bobby Joe Allison of the Fair Play Community; three sons, Darry Allison and wife Joyce of Carthage, Colonel Kenneth Allison and wife Sheria of Los Angeles, and Kerry Allison and wife Collette of Fontana, CA; three daughters, Mae Lewis and husband Robert of Carthage, Charcy Thomason and husband Calvin of Longview, and Patricia Willie and husband Jeffery of Allen, TX; four brothers, Willie Williams of Carthage, Morris Williams, Sr. of Wills Point, Johnny Williams of Longview, and Clifford Wayne Williams of Beckville; five sisters, Annie Faye Owens of Carthage, Bessie Mae Harris of Dallas, Betty Rocquemore of Longview, Bobbie Evans of Palestine, and Joyce Bradford of Longview; one aunt, Eddie Jones of Beckville; and twenty-two grandchildren. Numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends also survive Mrs. Allison.
Serving as Pallbears are Robert Lewis, Jr.,Tyras Allison, Lamiesa Allison, Allante Allison,Jaguy Allison,Martin Allison, Christopher Allison and Dakota Anthony.
