Military graveside services for Mr. Jerry Beason, age 59 years of Beckville, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2006 at Langley Cemetery with Brother Bruce Head and Brother Eugene Cox officiating. Interment will follow the services under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Beason passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2006 in Carthage, Texas.
Jerry Beason was born on August 4, 1946 in Beckville, Texas to Charles D. and Nettie A. Youngblood Beason. Mr. Beason attended Beckville schools and graduated from Grand Junction High School in Colorado in 1964. He worked as a welder. Mr. Beason had lived most of his life in Beckville and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Beckville. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
Mr. Beason is survived by one son, Robert Wayne Beason of Rowlett, Texas; one daughter, Mary A. Beason of Grand Junction, Colorado; three sisters, Ann Laura Britton of Cleburne, Texas, Betty Meeks of Parachute, Colorado, and Margaret Brenckman and husband Bill of Parachute, Colorado; three grandchildren; nine nephews, David, Steve, Joe Don, and Randy Beason, Johnny Britton, Allen Meeks, Gerald Daniel, Mark Brenckman, and Lynn Ridgway; and four nieces, Susie and Rhonda Brenckman, Mary Beth Daniel, and Cindy Ridgway.
Serving as pallbearers are James D. Curry, Buddy Hammons, Kenneth Ross, Joe Bob Tompkins, Raymond Golden, and Bill Harris. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Tom Moore and Chuck Moore.
