Jeff LaGrone, 79, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Wednesday morning, Sept. 5, 2018, in Carthage. Jeff Raymond LaGrone was born on Oct. 19, 1938, in Deadwood, TX. He was the 9 ^th of 10 children born to the late Jeff David and Oleta Beatrice Plunkett LaGrone. Growing up, he lived in Deadwood and attended Carthage schools, graduating from Carthage High School with the class of 1958. Jeff married Juanita Sue Vincent on May 28, 1960. He served in the Army National Guard during the Berlin Crisis. After graduating from High School, he began working for Drew Woods Contractors. He later worked at Texas Utilities and in the early 1970's, he founded Jeff LaGrone Air Conditioning, a business he operated for almost 40 years, retiring in 2008. He was a longtime member of the Panola County Chamber of Commerce. He loved to hunt and fish and vacation with his children and grandchildren, whom he adored. He was of the Pentecostal faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, J.D., James, Conway, Jimmy, Curtis, and Garland LaGrone; and sisters, Claudie Hutchins and Lucille Farmer.

Survivors include his loving wife of over 58 years, Juanita; daughters, Patti LaGrone and Amy King and husband Troy all of Carthage; sister, Allie Dickerson and husband Larry of Lafayette; grandchildren, Justin Yates and wife Brooke of Carthage, Rendi Tribble and husband Brandon of Sour Lake, Patrick Yates of Carthage, and Ryan and Cody King of Carthage; great-grandchildren, Karslei and Hadlei Yates and Brielle and D.J. Tribble.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Marian Place for the loving care provided to Mr. LaGrone during his stay there.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Aaron Bequette and Brandon Tribble officiating. Interment will follow in Deadwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Justin Yates, Patrick Yates, Ryan King, Cody King, Troy King, and Jason Thames.

Honorary pallbearers are Travis Wall, Albert Boren, Tater Davis, Lynn Vincent, Jo Ben LaGrone, Ray Vincent, and Willis LaGrone.
