Jeannie McDaniel, 64, of Riderville, passed away on Monday night, Sept. 18, 2017, at her home. Virginia Carol "Jeannie" Roberson was born on Sept. 23, 1952, in Sunflower County, Mississippi to the late Ben and Myrtice Perry Roberson. She married Wilbur McDaniel on Dec. 15, 1968, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 30, 2015. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends, music and dancing, and drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes on her front porch. Jeannie was also preceded in death by a son, Lance Corp. Wilbur Scott McDaniel, Jr. who passed away in 1989; brothers, Cecil Roberson and Bud Roberson; and sisters, Nancy Webb and Beck Vance.

Survivors include her son, Bryan McDaniel and wife Torri; daughter, Amy Sanders and husband William all of Riderville; brothers, George Roberson and wife Barbara of Indianola, Mississippi and O.B. Roberson and wife Sandra of Clayton; sisters, Fronie Holeman of Carthage and Dorothy Olswalt of Mississippi; and grandchildren, Madison, Jaden, Ely, and Gunner all of Riderville. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends also survive.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bob Scott and Bro. Frank Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers are Jason Price, Joe Sansom, Mac McDaniel, Marshall Henley, Josh Bowen, and Timmy Roberson.

Honorary pallbearers are Gunner McDaniel and Ely Sanders.
