Mrs. Jeanette Dyson Ray, 63, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Sunday morning, Feb. 28, 2021, at her home in Carthage surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 17, 1957, to Cecil and Geraldine Dyson. She married Marvin Ray on Oct. 12, 1974, in Carthage at her parent's home and together they celebrated 46 years of marriage. She loved the outdoors and was passionate about her business, The Seasons and was lovingly known as "The Flower Lady." She was of the Baptist faith. Jeanette was preceded in death by her father; infant brother, Shannon Scott; sister, Carol Walker; and grandson, Matthew Gauge Rainwater.

Surviving Mrs. Ray are her husband, Marvin Ray; children, Jena Wilkerson and husband Randy, Albert Ray and wife Erica, and Casey Ray all of Carthage; mother, Geraldine Dyson; sister, Machelle Sherwood and husband Jimmy; brother, George Dyson; and grandchildren, Madison Green, Allison Ray, Savanna Harvey, Abby Wilkerson, and Hunter Ray. Numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends also survive.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bob Scott and Bro. Jerry Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Deadwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Pallbearers are Chris Morris, T.J. Price, Eric Holcomb, Stephen Hammons, Aaron Walker, and Sheldon Sherwood. Honorary pallbearers are Richard Anderson, Bubba Ingram, Erwin Lejune, Jimmy Sherwood, and Arnold Walker.

Memorials may be made to Deadwood Cemetery or Heart's Way Hospice.
