Jeane Holeman Cravey Carter Tyson , 91, of Carthage, passed away Sunday night, June 11, 2017, at Highland Pines Nursing Home in Longview, after a long illness. She was born in Gilmer on April 19, 1926, to the late Wilbur and Sarah Patterson Holeman. She was of the Baptist faith. While a resident of Longview, she spent most of her life serving in the food service industry where she worked at the Longview Hotel and the Longview Country Club. After moving to Carthage, she worked in the cafeteria at Carthage Schools and at the Pirtle Boy Scout Camp. Her love for food preparation extended to her personal life where she received much joy in preparing huge and elaborate meals for her loved ones. She was also an avid antique collector and dealer and after retiring, she spent much time at the Nacogdoches Flea Market until her declining health. She was truly gifted as a caregiver and even after being confined to a wheelchair for the last decade of her life, she continued to care for those she loved. She was a generous lady and took great pleasure volunteering and donating to others. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by infant daughters, Debra and Sarah; daughter, Patsy Craig Flori; grandson, Paul Lemons; and husbands, Sidney Cravey, Jimmie Carter, and Henry Tyson.

Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Lemons and husband Tim; step-son, Michael Carter and wife Juanelle; grandsons, Todd Boyd and wife Babie and Ashley Flori and wife Kelly Whaley; granddaughters, Kellee Coleman and husband Lee and Sheri Rychener and husband Troy; and numerous great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2017 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Mutina officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1-2 p.m. prior to the funeral service.
