A funeral service for Jean Ross Williamson, 87, of Carthage, will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Sloan officiating. Interment will follow in Walton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Williamson passed away on Monday night, July 28, 2014, in Del Ray.

Jean Ross Williamson was born on Nov. 3, 1926, in Carthage to the late John Tom and Mildred Brown Ross. She graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1944, and attended Business College in Tyler. Mrs. Williamson married John Howard Williamson on July 14, 1946, in Waskom and he preceded her in death on June 3, 1990. She was a faithful member of the Carthage Church of Christ where she was involved in many church activities. Mrs. Williamson volunteered her time generously with the Carthage Service League.

Mrs. Williamson is survived by two sons, Keith Williamson and wife Pam of Del Ray and Carl Williamson and wife Debbie of Whitehouse; three brothers, Willis Neal Ross and wife Joyce of Shreveport, Eston Royce Ross and wife Leta of Del Ray, and Dan Brown Ross and wife Elaine of Beckville; six grandchildren, Stephanie Williamson, Sarah Harrison and husband Mitchell, Jamie Williamson, Jared Williamson and wife Angela, Clint Williamson and wife Kristen, and Carla Hutchins and husband Chad; and three great-grandchildren, Marissa, Keith Warren, and Victoria.

Serving as pallbearers are Jared Williamson, Clint Williamson, Mitchell Harrison, Chad Hutchins, Ronnie Rhiddlehoover, and Nicky Parker.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Robert Ross, Richard Ross, Paul Ross, Tommy Ross, Danny Ross, Derek Ross, and Keith Warren Harrison.
