A funeral service for Mrs. Jean Williams, 84, of Beckville, TX, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Keith Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in Langley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Williams passed away on Monday night, March 24, 2014, in Longview.

Ida Jean Barnett Williams was born on June 10, 1929, in Compton, CA to Perry and Rachel Fillmore Barnett. She married Ralph Odell Williams on Aug. 1, 1945, in San Bernardino, CA. Jean enjoyed playing bridge with several groups of friends. She was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star #273. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Harris Chapel. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her husband who passed away on June 6, 2013; two grandsons, Alan Wayne Beall and Ryan Dustin Legg; and two brothers, Robert Perry Barnett and Richard Barnett.

Mrs. Williams is survived by four daughters, Bonnie Davis of Beckville, Evelyn Daniels and husband David of Beckville, Suzanne Legg and husband Dan of Teague, and Barbara Floyd of Beckville; six grandchildren, Heidi Swainston and husband Joe, Wayne Daniels and wife Glenda, Ginger Harris and husband Buddy, Lindsay Dillon and husband Scott, Amy Nail and husband Derek, and Ashley Chambers and fiancé Chant Jordan; and eleven great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends also survive Mrs. Williams.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chant Jordan, Derek Nail, Buddy Harris, Bryce Harris, Scott Dillon, and Wayne Daniels.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Troy Williams, Dan Legg, and David Daniels.
