James Glenn "Jamie" Brown, 51, of Carthage passed away October 17, 2020 in Tyler, Texas. He was born December 24, 1968 in Carthage, Texas to Marlis Cleveland and Mary Helen Sells Brown. Jamie was raised in Carthage and graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1987. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Clayton and worked in the oil field industry most of his life. Jamie was a hard working man and loved hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, helping others and spending time with his kids and grandkids. He is preceded in death by his father.

Jamie is survived by his mother, Mary Brown of Carthage; children, Jason Brown and wife Hootie of Beckville, Matt Brown and wife Macie of Carthage, Leigha Brown of Carthage; brother, Mike Brown of Carthage; sister, Sandy Oney and husband Paul of Carthage; grandchildren, Karlyn Brown, Zander Brown, Wrenlee Brown; nephews, Adam Brown of Carthage, Taylor Oney of Carthage; niece, Emmy Oney of Carthage; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at the Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dale Reed officiating. Interment will follow in the Clayton Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Billy Sells, Travis Sells, Chris Sells, Jimmy Bridges, David Lawless, and Albert Chaffin.
