Eric Seegers, 41, of Beckville, TX, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 16, 2019, in Longview. James Eric Seegers was born on Feb. 2, 1977, in Carthage, TX to James Theodore and Belinda Ann Morris Seegers. He graduated from Beckville High School with the class of 1995. Eric married Jaime Michelle Sipes on July 9, 1999, in Carthage. He worked in the oil field industry as a lease operator for Sheridan Production for many years. Eric loved fishing and sports. He especially enjoyed spending time watching his daughter play volleyball and his son play football and baseball. Eric lived his lifetime in Panola County and attended Northside Christian Center. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Baker and Fredna Morris and Nancy Seegers.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Jaime Sipes Seegers; son, Jesse Sipes; daughter, Riley Seegers; parents, Belinda and Terry Tompkins and James and Tammy Seegers; grandfather, Ted Seegers; brother, Brent Seegers and wife Brandi and children, Baylie, Baker, and Boston; aunt, Jean Thomas and husband Jan; uncle, Clifton Morris and wife Glenda; aunt, Sarah Baker and husband Dale; uncle, Jon Morris and wife Arlene; aunt, Deborah Shivers and husband Billy Jack; uncle, Glenn Seegers and wife Elizabeth; in-laws, William & LaNece Sipes; sister-in-law, Andrea Hairgrove and husband Shawn and children, Brandt, Ryan and Amber Harris; brother-in-law, Adam Sipes and fiancé Brittney and children, Taige, Axel, Kenzie, Kallie, Maverick, and Ellie Sipes; numerous cousins; and many friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 21, 2019, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gary Chambers officiating. Interment will follow in Martin Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Brent Seegers, Brandon Shivers, Chad Shivers, Adam Sipes, Cory Morris, Aaron Cariker, Steve Hitchcock, and Jesse Sipes. Honorary pallbearers are Baker Seegers, Boston Seegers, Stephen Morris, Carroll Morris, Brandt Harris, and Ryan Harris.
