James Dick (J.D.) Lynch, Jr., age 80, of Longview, Texas formerly of DeBerry, Texas, passed away on Tuesday morning, July 27, 2010, in Longview. Mr. Lynch will be cremated and a private service will be held at a later date with inurnment in DeBerry Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.

James Dick (J.D.) Lynch, Jr. was born on December 15, 1929, in Shreveport, Louisiana to James Dick Lynch, Sr. and Sybil Cadenhead Lynch. He graduated from Rodessa High School in Rodessa, Louisiana with the class of 1947. He married Jimmie Nell Harris on July 8, 1950. Mr. Lynch worked as a lease operator for Pennzoil, retiring in 1984. He and his wife also operated J.D. Lynch Florist in Carthage for many years. Mr. Lynch moved to Longview twelve years ago from DeBerry. He was a Baptist. Mr. Lynch was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, who passed away on September 2, 1994.
Mr. Lynch is survived by three sons, Dr. Bill Lynch and wife Laura Lee of Chicago, Richard Lynch and wife Deborah Sue of Marshall, and Mark Lynch and wife Lisa of DeBerry; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the caring staff of Buckner Westminster Place in Longview for the loving care shown to Mr.
Lynch.
