Obituary

Funeral services for Mr. David Brown, age 60 of the Murvaul Community will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bobby Peek and Brother Dale Reed officiating. A Masonic graveside service will follow in Six Mile Cemetery under the auspices of the Gary Masonic Lodge # 1101. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Brown passed away Sunday night, February 25, 2007 in Longview, Texas.

James David Brown was born on March 7, 1946 in Orange, Texas to Jim Darcus "Buster" and Imogene Mason Brown. Mr. Brown married Kathy A. McNabb on May 30, 1966 in Carthage, Texas. He was a member and past master of the Gary Masonic Lodge # 1101 A. F. & A. M. He loved hunting, fishing, horses, and his coon dogs. Mr. Brown had lived his lifetime in Panola County and was a member of the Murvaul Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son-in-law, Christopher R. Leopold.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife Kathy Brown; two sons, Steve Brown and wife Lori and Keith Brown and wife Melissa; one daughter, Lori Leopold all of the Murvaul Community; three sisters, Regina Porter and husband Roger of the Riderville Community, Brenda Brunson and husband Kim of Duncanville, and Frances Gaspard and husband Nelson of Port Arthur; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Reverend and Mrs. J. T. McNabb, Jr. of Blossom; nine grandchildren, Justin Brown, Brittany Brown, Rheamie Brown, Tiffany Clackley and husband Brad, Kyrstin Brown, Kaleb Brown, J. T. Brown, Kristopher Hunter, and Taylor Hunter. Numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and many friends also survive Mr. Brown.

Serving as pallbearers are the members of the Gary Masonic Lodge # 1101 A. F. & A. M.
