A funeral service for Mr. Jahue Jones, Jr., 76, of DeBerry, TX, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at Crossroads Baptist Church in DeBerry with Rev. Leon Hicks officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Crossroads Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Jones passed away on Thursday morning, Nov. 21, 2013, in Carthage.

Jahue Jones, Jr. was born on July 26, 1937, in Marshall, TX to the late Jahue, Sr. and Pearline Anderson Jones. He married Clover Delois Graves and she preceded him in death. Mr. Jones worked as a sandblaster and Daniel's Industries for many years until his retirement. He has lived in the area for 20 years moving from Houston. Mr. Jones was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Jones was predeceased by one brother, Jimmy Jones and one daughter, Denise Jones.

Mr. Jones is survived by two sons, Oliver Jones and wife Judy of Baytown and Oscar Jones and wife Jolinda of DeBerry; two daughters, Flora Jones of Yuba, CA and Patricia Jones of Arlington; seven brothers, Eugene Jones of Texarkana, Chess Jones of DeBerry, Dewayne Jones of Longview, Harvey Jones of Houston, Charles Jones of Houston, and Ervin Jones of DeBerry; two sisters, Gloria Dean Collier of DeBerry and Dorothy Jones Jackson of Longview; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends also survive Mr. Jones.

Serving as pallbearers are S.T. Burns, Chris Booty, Joe Booty, Albert Harrison, Sr., Bryan Thomas, Willie Perkins, Jerome Brown, and Kendell Montgomery.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Oscar Jones, Oliver Jones, Demetri Jones, Ben Anderson, Neil Booty, Joe Dell Booty, and Nello Willie.
