Jack Arnold McDaniel, 84 of Lake Murvaul, passed away Friday, November 13, 2020 in Nacogdoches, Texas. Jack was born April 15, 1936 in Joaquin, Texas to Obie Dar and Ida Gay Mills McDaniel. He married Linda Ann Sanders on July 6, 1959 and together they celebrated 61 years. Mr. McDaniel worked as a pipe liner and inspector for R.H. Fulton for over 20 years, loved to fish, hunt, and spend time in the outdoors. He enjoyed horseback riding and was a member of the Old Spanish Trail Ride for many years. Jack served his country through the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Gary Masonic Lodge #1101, Nacogdoches Eastern Star Chapter #428 and the Enterprise Baptist Church. Mr. McDaniel is preceded in death by his parents; one brother and two sisters.
Mr. McDaniel is survived by his loving wife, Linda McDaniel of Lake Murvaul; children, Greg McDaniel and wife Sherry of Long Branch, Robert McDaniel and wife Becky of Lake Murvaul, Kerrie Wallis and husband Mike of Shreveport, Randy McDaniel and wife Joanne of Lake Murvaul, Dianne Akin and husband Monte of Clayton, J.D. Rodgers of Frankston; fifteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; three great, great grandchildren; one "Twink"; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
A graveside service with Masonic Rites will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, Nov. 16, 2020, at the Jackson Cemetery in Joaquin, TX with Bro. Brian Kelley and Roger McDonald officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Monte Akin, Jason Johnson, Carey McClellan, J.D. Rodgers, Kenneth Hazel, and Rusty Birdwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Reeves, Dale Martin, M.W. Brown, Ray Turner, Clifford Eubanks, Robert Deitz, and Wayne Cordray.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the American Lung Association and the Jackson Cemetery, P.O. Box 15, Joaquin, Texas 75954.
