Jack Dalton Fox, 92, of Carthage, Texas, passed away on Thursday evening, May 9, 2024, in Carthage. He was born September 30, 1931, in Luling, Texas to the late J.R. and Gladys Reed Fox. Jack married Vivian Claire Harborth on October 1, 1952, in Seguin, Texas. She preceded him in death on August 6, 2020. Before moving to Carthage in 1970, Jack was a supervisor for the City of Seguin for 17 years.  He also worked for the City of Carthage for 20 years, retiring as supervisor. Jack was a wonderful example of a loving and dedicated husband and father. He was a member of First Methodist Church in Carthage where he was very active in Boy Scouts of America, and he made scouting fun.  He was a Scout Master and had many scouts under his leadership that earned rank of Eagle Scout.  Jack had a servant's heart and reached out many times to the people of his community, showing love and doing good deeds for them. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Darlene Mason.

Jack is survived by his son, Alan Fox and wife Shelia; brother, J.R. "Bobby" Fox; and grandchildren, Amy Mason and Shon Fox.

Cremation arrangements are by Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
