Irene Williams, 76, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020, in Longview. Irene Sheffield Williams was born on Aug. 5, 1943, in Waller, TX to the late Virgil and Luda Mae Clepper Sheffield. She earned a cosmetology certificate and worked as a hairdresser for many years. She later worked as a sitter until retirement. Irene enjoyed crocheting, shopping, fishing, and visiting with friends and family. Mrs. Williams was a member of Abundant Life Church in Carthage and also attended Northside Christian Center for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Sky Alexis; and all of her siblings.

Survivors include her children, Raymond Hutto and wife Lisa of Franklin, Dean Hutto of Jefferson, and Teresa Williams of Carthage; sister-in-law, Barbara Sheffield of Huntsville; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2020, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Sis. Betty Wills officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the memorial service.
