Obituary
A graveside service for Mr. Howard William Lunceford, age 74, of Gary, TX, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013 with Rev. John Paul Little officiating at Rocky Springs Cemetery in the Dialville Community of Cherokee County, TX under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Mr. Lunceford passed away on Friday, February 1, 2013, in Carthage.
Howard William Lunceford was born on Jan. 10, 1939, in Hampton, TN to Dolphus Ezekiel and Tilda Bell Potter Lunceford. Mr. Lunceford worked as a baker and owned and operated The Donut Shop in Carthage until his retirement. He loved carpentry. Mr. Lunceford moved to Panola County in 1986, from Baytown, TX and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Lunceford is survived by two sons, Travis Lunceford of Gary and Stephen Lunceford and wife Misty of Gary; one daughter, Angela Fry of Houston; one brother Earl Thomas Lunceford and wife Frances of the Dialville Community; one sister, Rachel Orsack of the Dialville Community; and six grandchildren.
