Funeral services for Mr. Homer Neill Langford, age 77 years, of Carthage, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 9, 2006 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with his nephew Brother Randy Bond, Brother Walter Riley, and Brother Don Ransom officiating. Interment will follow in Clayton Cemetery under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Langford passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2006 in Longview, Texas.

Homer Neill Langford was born on December 3, 1928 in Panola County, Texas to Sandy Leroy and Mary Alcie Morton Langford. Mr. Langford attended the Pleasant Ridge School and was also a faithful and devoted member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. He loved horses and enjoyed working on the farm. Mr. Langford had lived his lifetime in Panola County. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Wayne Langford; two sisters, Reba Janice Embry and Mary Lee Smith.

Mr. Langford is survived by two sisters, Nancy Bond and husband Rannel of Boyce, Louisiana and Patricia Vaughn and husband Franklin of Gary, Texas, and one sister-in-law, Carol Langford of Carthage Texas. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and a host of friends also survive.

Serving as pallbearers are Sandy Embry, Jesse Embry, Brian Langford, Lori Vaughn, Sandra Stuart, Angela Gurrola, and Katy Julian.
