Holland Dickey, age 91, of the Antioch Community, in Panola County, Texas, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at his home in Antioch. Holland D. Dickey was born on October 11, 1933, in Winnsboro, Texas to the late Hobson and Maude Brock Dickey. He attended Winnsboro Schools with the class of 1954. Mr. Dickey served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was honorably discharged. He married Florence June Love on March 26, 1977, in Las Vegas, Nevada and she preceded him in death on July 9, 2018, after 41 years together. He and Florence worked as truck drivers, driving cross country and traveling together. Mr. Dickey later worked for Texas Utilities Mining Company for over 20 years until his retirement. He moved to Panola County in May of 1979, from San Dimas, California and he was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Mr. Dickey was also preceded in death by brothers, Billy Gene Dickey, Robert Rudolph Dickey, and Kenneth Dickey and sisters, Audry Lurlene Dickey and Betty Capps.

He is survived by his daughter, Debra Brown and husband James; granddaughter, Nicole Dickey; great-grandchildren, Dustin Dickey (Niki) and Trista Ogan (Cordell); great-great-grandchildren, Asher and Amber; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends also survive.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 17, 2025, at Antioch Baptist Church with Bro. Vaun Henry officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment with Military honors will follow in Antioch Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Jamie Scott, Cordell Ogan, Dustin Dickey, Mark Campbell, Tim Gonzales, and Scott Dyer.
