Herman David "Shorty" Qualls, 53, of Terrell, TX, formerly of Beckville, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017. He was born on July 23, 1964, in Dallas to James Norman and Wanda Bellmire Qualls. Mr. Qualls graduated from Beckville High School with the class of 1982. He married Shannon Moore on June 23, 2010, in Terrell. He loved motorcycles and was a jack of all trades. Mr. Qualls was of the Christian faith.

He is survived by his wife, Shannon Qualls of Terrell; parents, James and Wanda Qualls of Beckville; daughter, Hollye Qualls of Jefferson; step-daughters, Brittni Bradley and husband Andrew of Mesquite and Haley Cisneros and husband Lupe of Kaufman; brothers, Jimmy Qualls and wife Melinda of Beckville and Mike Qualls and wife Robin of Natalia; sister, Penny Attaway of Shreveport; grandchildren, Avery Bradley, Adalyn Bradley, and Alexander Cisneros; uncle, Billy Qualls and wife Margaret of Tyler; and aunt, Mary Ann Luman and husband Gene of Forney. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends also survive Mr. Qualls.

The family will conduct a memorial service that will be held at 2 p.m. next Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church in Beckville with Bro. Jerry Phillips officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
