Herbert Gibbs, 58, of the Pinehill Community in Rusk County, TX, formerly from Shiloh, LA, passed away on Thursday evening, March 14, 2019, at his home. Mr. Gibbs was born on Oct. 22, 1960, in Mansfield, LA to the late Thomas Cecil and Mittie Odell Evans Gibbs. He attended school in Logansport, LA, graduating with the Logansport High School class of 1978. Herbert married Debbie Hammons on Jan. 20, 2002, in Panola County. He was a truck driver for N.D. Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie; sons, Phillip Hartsfield and wife Julia of Mansfield, LA, Chris Sells and wife Brittney of Pinehill and Travis Sells of Long Branch; daughters, Natalie Gibbs Sells of Carthage, Nichole McAndrews and husband Jeff of Longview, Angel Terrell and husband Curtis of Converse, LA and Felicia Fontenot of Crowley, LA; brothers, Tommy Gibbs of Shiloh, LA, Lonnie Gibbs and wife Sandra of Logansport, LA, Johnnie Gibbs and wife Nancy of the Logan Community of Panola County, TX and Cecil Gibbs and wife Reah of Shiloh, LA; grandchildren, Jonathan Sells, Tara Sells, Brandon Sells, Sherry Sells, Cheyenne Sells, Hunter Burran, Ally Sells, Nolan Burran, William Sells; and one great-grandchild on the way.  He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, 2019, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Williams officiating. Interment will follow at the family cemetery in the Pinehill Community of Rusk County, TX. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers are Jonathan Sells, Brandon Sells, Johnny Derret, Rocky Roehl, Travis Sells, L.A. Williams, Curtis Ebarb and Mace Parker.
