Henry Brightwell, age 88, passed away surrounded by his loved ones in Franklin, LA on Saturday, July 23, 2022. He was born in a small log cabin style home on July 15th, 1934, to Luther and Wasel Brightwell. He would go on to serve our country in the Army and after went on to work in the oilfield all of his life, primarily specializing as an operator. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and traveling. His trips to Alaska would sometimes last upwards of several months. Above everything Henry was a loving and devoted father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed.

Henry is survived by his loving children; Wackel Lee Brightwell, Kevin Lynn Brightwell and his wife Angela, Christy Brightwell Alvarez and her husband Paul; his seven grandchildren; his brothers, Paul Brightwell; his sisters, Linda Minter, Sarah Chadwick.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Wasel Brightwell; his brothers, Gaylon and Roger Brightwell; his half-sister, Luther Pearl McCutchen.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Martin Cemetery in Beckville, TX.
