Harold Glaze, 82, of Carthage, Texas, passed away on Friday morning, November 10, 2023, in Carthage. Harold Leland Glaze was born on March 5, 1941, in Frisco, Texas to the late Hubert Lance and Irabelle Swann Glaze. He graduated from high school in Saltillo, Texas with the class of 1959. Harold married Janet Carolyn Harris on January 19, 1963, and she preceded him in death on December 2, 2022, after almost 60 years together. He began a 40 year career with Texas Utilities in the Dallas area before being transferred to Carthage where he worked until his retirement. Harold was of the Baptist faith. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bert Glaze.

Mr. Glaze is survived by his children, Clifton Glaze and wife Krista, Randy Glaze and wife Janet, and Dawn Anderson; grandchildren, Chandler Glaze, Laramie Cureton and husband Tyler, Austin Glaze, Addison Glaze, and Kayla Anderson; and great-grandchildren, Malakai and Meadow Cureton.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Monty Pierce officiating. Interment will follow in Sulphur Bluff Cemetery in Hopkins County, Texas.

Pallbearers are Tyler Cureton and Austin Glaze.
