H.G. Pepper, 92, of Tatum, passed away on Saturday morning, April 7, 2018. Horace Grigsby Pepper was born on March 3, 1926, in Tatum to the late J.R. and Annie Mae Grigsby Pepper. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked at Texas Eastman for over 30 years before his retirement. After retirement, Mr. Pepper enjoyed farming. He was married to Jodie Myrtle Capps and she preceded him in death 2002. He was also preceded in death by his son, Gary Wayne Pepper, Sr.; grandson, Gary Wayne Pepper, Jr.; twin brother, Herman James Pepper; sisters, Eva Mae Prather and Estelle Hardaway; and numerous other siblings.
Mr. Pepper is survived by grandchildren, Jimmy Ray Pepper, Jr. and wife Page of White Settlement and Jennifer Lee Pepper of Beckville; and great-grandchildren, Michael and Anthony Hughes of White Settlement.
The family will receive friends for a visitation from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2018, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
