A memorial service for Gwen Allen White, 58, of Tatum, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2015, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Buddy Briggs officiating. Mrs. White passed away on Tuesday evening, July 14, 2015, in Longview. Arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.

Gwendolyn Marie Allen White was born on July 3, 1957, in Carthage to James Allen and Helen Young Allen Dodson. She graduated from Beckville High School with the class of 1975 and attended Panola College. Gwen worked as a project manager for Volume Millwork in Houston for many years before moving back to Tatum in 2014. She was currently employed at Lowe's in Longview. Gwen was preceded in death by her step-father, John Dodson.

Gwen is survived by her parents, Helen Dodson of Tatum and James Allen and wife Jaunita of Harris Chapel; daughter, Joni Moore and husband Jeff of Beckville; son, Jody White of Tatum; brothers, James Allen, II and wife Pam of Tatum and Joe Dodson and wife Lamesia of Tatum; sisters, Gail Hooper and husband Tim of Gary, Lori Fuller and husband Scott of Woodlawn, and Lisa Harrison and husband Billy Mack of Daingerfield; grandchildren, Curstyn Hammer, DeAnna Moore, and Jayna White; and great-grandchildren, Addison Hammer and Jordan Wallace.
