Grace Rutland, age 95, of Tatum, Texas, passed away on Tuesday morning, February 18, 2025, at her home in the Harmony Hill Community near Tatum. She was born on July 15, 1929, in Anson, Texas to the late Doyle Benton and Lottie Dean Martin Fletcher. Grace married Harold Dean "Harry" Rutland on August 4, 1972, in Marble Falls, Texas. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, going to auctions and estate sales, and collecting depression glass. Grace lived most of her lifetime in Tatum and was of the Baptist faith. She was also preceded in death by three children, Sue Mitchell, Don Earl Thomas, and Shella Thomas.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Harry Rutland; son, Tony Thomas; grandchildren, Tonya Reynolds (Erick), Tim Mitchell (Terri), Bryant Mitchell, James Thomas, Angel Thomas, Billy Thomas, Amber Thomas, David Thomas (Alisha), and Cody Thomas; 11 great-grandchildren including her special great-grandchild, Kylie Thomas; 12 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Clifton Fletcher; and her beloved dog, Freckles.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Martin Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers are Tim Mitchell, Bryant Mitchell, David Thomas, Cody Thomas, Erick Reynolds, and Rowdy Holden.
