A graveside service for Mrs. Glynda Monic, 56, of Carthage, will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at Odd Fellows Cemetery with Rev. Steve Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Mrs. Monic passed away on Monday, Feb. 13, 2017.
She was born in Carthage on March 4, 1960, where she met the love of her life, Allen Monic, more then 33 years ago. She enjoyed home making and spending time with family as much as possible especially her grandchildren. She loved to travel but one of her favorite things to do was spending time on the river with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patsy Woods and daughter, Brandy Mosley.
She is survived by her husband, Allen Monic; daughter, Karen Cheshire; granddaughters, Alyssa Welk and Alivia Cheshire all of Carthage; father, Thomas Young of Cooter, MO; brother in-law, Lamar Monic of Houston; niece, Ashley Monic; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Honorary pallbearers are Mickey Browning, Bob Thomas, J.L. Barrington, Buddy Hammons, Smokey Smith, David Boggs, Paul Boggs, Mitch Holcomb, Mitchell McMillian, Donnie Godwin, and Mark Davis.
