David Glen Tyler, 62, passed away on Tuesday morning, Sept. 7, 2021, in Kemp, TX. He was born on July 25, 1959, in Shreveport, LA to the late Emmett Edward and Sybil Elaine Skinner Tyler. Glen graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1977. He loved reading western novels. He was the best grandfather and was adored by his grandchildren. Glen was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Elaine Tyler.

He is survived by his wife, Susie Tyler of Denton; mother of his children, Joyce Tyler of Kemp; children, Christopher Glen Tyler and wife Kerry of Sugar Land, David Cody Tyler and wife Kelley of Grand Saline, and Edward Casey Tyler of Tyler; and grandchildren, Mikala, Elijah, Colton, Jacob, and Luke.

A visitation will be held at from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers are Mikala, Elijah, Colton, Jacob, and Luke Tyler.
