Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Miller, age 92, of Carthage, Texas, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chad Sangster officiating. Interment will follow in Rehobeth Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Miller passed away on Friday morning, January 29, 2010, in Carthage.

Gladys Wilkerson Miller was born on Sept. 14, 1917, in Panola County, TX to Eugene and Eunice Mims Wilkerson. She married Travis Hoyle Miller on June 24, 1934, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 1978. Mrs. Miller worked as a beautician in the area for over 50 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Mrs. Miller was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James and Eddie Wilkerson; and one daughter, Jean Stanley.

Mrs. Miller is survived by three grandchildren, Lynn Stanley of Carthage, Joey Feil and wife Penni of Sachse, and Barbara Capps of Carthage; six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and five sisters, Olgie Stephenson, Marie Shires, Bo Cranmore, Robbie Frizzell, and Margaret Ruth Wilkerson.

Serving as pallbearers are Ricky Pride, Eddie Pride, Jay Frizzell, Dean Wilkerson, Gary Wilkerson, and Bryan Pride.
