Graveside services for Mrs. Georgia Marie Harris Taylor, age 88, of Bossier City, LA, formerly of Carthage, TX, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2009, at Restland Memorial Park, near Carthage with Brother Mike Wilson officiating, under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Taylor passed away on Tuesday night, June 2, 2009, in Bossier City.

Georgia Marie Harris Taylor was born on February 22, 1921, in the Fair Play Community of Panola County, TX to Curtis Brown and Bobbie Jewel Boucher Harris. She attended Carthage schools. Mrs. Taylor was a Methodist. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Edward, Troy, and Joe Harris; and her husband, Jack Taylor in 1989.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by two daughters, Shirley Ann Hall and husband Byron of Sugar Land and Jeannie Roberson of Bossier City; one sister, Elizabeth Ann Sutton and husband Joe of Ruidoso, NM; one sister-in-law, Delores Harris of Dallas; six grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are Jeffery Roberson, Joey Hall, Jason Hall, Lin McCraw, Chuck Harris and Steve Harris.
