George McKinney, 65, of Marshall, Texas, passed away Sunday morning, January 12, 2025 in Texarkana, Texas. George Thomas McKinney was born July 3, 1959 in Corsicana, Texas. He attended Marshall schools and graduated from Marshall High School with the class of 1977. George worked for Smith Steel Company in Marshall for 26 years and later for General Cable Company in Scottsville for 21 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Wade McKinney and Shirley Faye Jock McKinney; and brother, Howard McKinney.

George is survived by his spouse, Terrisa McKinney; children, Lindsey Mills, Katelyn Bowers, Justin Mills and Jason Mills; grandchildren, Jackson Mills, Morgan Matthews and Hadley Bowers; brothers, John Wilford McKinney and Jimmy McKinney; sister-in-law Kelly Haney and husband Mike; and brother -in-law, Boyce Eldridge and wife Patty. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive Mr. McKinney.

A visitation for Mr. McKinney will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home, 1131 State Hwy 149, Carthage, Texas 75633. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
