Memorial services for Mrs. Geneva Etta Brinkley, age 81 years, of Beckville, Texas, will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2006 at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Carthage with Reverend Mike Fields officiating. Her final resting place will be in Santa Rosa, California. Mrs. Brinkley passed away on Friday, May 05, 2006 in Carthage, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
Mrs. Geneva Etta McIntosh Brinkley was born on October 5, 1924 in Quelin, Missouri to John Thomas and Elsie Drew McIntosh. She married Raymond Brinkley. Mrs. Brinkley enjoyed being with small babies and children. She enjoyed watching birds bathe in her birdbath in her front yard. Mrs. Brinkley had a tender heart and will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Mrs. Brinkley had lived in Beckville for the past four and a half years moving from Vancouver, Washington. She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church of Carthage.
Mrs. Brinkley is survived by three sons, Thomas Brinkley and wife Rita of Beckville, Texas, Raymond L. Brinkley of Vancouver, Washington, and John R. Brinkley of Cleveland, Georgia; three daughters, Linda Whybark and husband Bill of Sonoma, California, Barbara Alarez and husband Benito of Vancouver, Washington, and Mary Denton and husband Joe of Fernley, Nevada; three brothers, James McIntosh of Santa Rosa, California, Richard McIntosh of Santa Rosa, California, and John McIntosh of Lakeport, California; nineteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
