A memorial service for Mr. Gaylon Nelson Cox, age 69 of Fort Worth, Texas, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will gather with friends from 12 o'clock noon until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. A private inurnment will take place at Restland Memorial Park near Carthage prior to the service. Mr. Cox passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2008 in Fort Worth.

Gaylon Nelson Cox was born on December 11, 1938 in Reader, Arkansas to A. B. and Mary Nichols Cox. Mr. Cox graduated from High School in Homer, Louisiana with the class of 1956. He married Cathi Pickering on November 1, 1996 in Fort Worth. Mr. Cox was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Martha Fuller.

Mr. Cox is survived by his wife, Cathi Cox of Fort Worth; his mother, Mary Cox of Nacogdoches formerly of Carthage; one sister, Nancy Cox of Nacogdoches; one son, Gaylon Cox II of Denton; two daughters, Christye Fuller and Jody Rodriguez both of Denton; thirteen grandchildren; and one step-daughter, Dani Vasseur.
