Gary Lee Saunders, 74, of Lake Murvaul, TX, passed away on Saturday morning, Jan. 25, 2020, in Longview, TX. He was born on March 15, 1945, in Caldwell, TX to the late Norwood Phillip and Erna Marie Willham Saunders. Mr. Saunders worked as a wrecker driver for many years until retirement. He enjoyed fishing. Mr. Saunders was preceded in death by his parents; best friend, Susan Furlong Fletcher; and siblings, Red Elliott Saunders and Sandra Saunders.

He is survived by his children, Victor Saunders and wife Amanda of Carthage, Gina Allen and husband Chris of Navasota, Jeff Saunders and wife Michelle of San Antonio, Jeremy Furlong of Waxahachie, Nicole Ayers and husband Josh of Gary, and Shayna Furlong of Gary; grandchildren, Jana, Harley, Justin, Jessica, Ashley, Katie, Makayla, Eryka, Jeremy Jr., and Caitlynn; and great-grandchildren, Cohutta, Calhoun, Layla, Dustin, Riley, Braylan, Peyton and Burkeley.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
