Gary Owen Favors, 56, of DeBerry, TX, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, at his home in DeBerry. He was born on Jan. 24, 1961, in Rockwall, TX to the late David Franklin Favors, Sr. and Pearl Elizabeth Thompson Favors. When he was younger, he enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and water skiing. He also enjoyed football and was fascinated by the weather.

Survivors include his brothers, David Favors, Jr. and wife Elaine of DeBerry, Sherman Favors and wife Carolyn of Elysian Fields, and Floyd Favors and wife Carol of DeBerry and sisters, Shirley Garrett of Sydney, TX, Glenda McManamy and husband Gary of Pittsburg, TX, and Loretta Rhoades and husband Eddie of Scroggins, TX. Numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive Mr. Favors.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Radney officiating. Interment will follow in DeBerry Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers are Billy Hull, Justin Kirkman, Dakota Centers, Austin Favors, Dewayne Favors, and Andy Favors.

Honorary pallbearers are Daniel Teel, Nathan Rhoades, and Matt Wilhite.
