Adriene Gail Mitchell, 60, of Tenaha, Texas, passed away Sunday morning, August 11, 2024, at her home in Tenaha. Gail Mitchell was born to Addie Lee Mitchell on April 29, 1964, in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Timpson High School with the Class of 1984. Gail was a member of the Social Point Baptist Church. She worked for Tyson Foods for 33 years, and was a hard worker, dedicated to her job and family. One of her favorite pass times was working word searches.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clyde and Talmadge Mitchell; aunt, Jennye Eaton; and bonus father, Charlie James "Jack" Riggans, Jr.

Survivors include her mother, Addie Riggans; siblings, Tammy Howard, Kevin Mitchell (Francesca), Sandra Jones, and Christy Brooks (Derrick); bonus siblings, Theresa Pitts, Remona Taylor (Carl), Charles Keith Riggans, Roy Riggans (Linda), and Lisa McClure (Aubrey); eight nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and great-nephews; six uncles, one aunt, numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Tenaha with Revs. Alfred Berry and J.T. Harris officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will be at Social Point Cemetery in Tenaha. There will be a time of visitation from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church prior to the service.

Active pallbearers are Fred Cotton, John Eaton, Wallace Mitchell, Terry Mitchell, Cleveland Mitchell, and Charles Keith Riggans. Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Mitchell, Derrick Brooks, Derrell Tucker, Marcus Howard, Jerry Dennis Jr., and Eric Mitchell.
