Graveside services for Mr. Fulton "Sonny" Van Sickle, age 77 of Carthage, Texas, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Restland Memorial Park near Carthage with Reverend Kim Hagedorn officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home before the graveside service. Mr. Van Sickle passed away on Monday, February 11, 2008 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Fulton "Sonny" Van Sickle was born on March 25, 1930 in El Paso, Texas to A. K. and Georgia Hunter Van Sickle. He married Violet Louise Fowler on August 25, 1951. Mr. Van Sickle served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War where he attained the rank of second lieutenant. Mr. Van Sickle is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, who passed away on January 12, 1977; and one great-grandchild, Cain Coleman.

Mr. Van Sickle is survived by three daughters, Deb Coleman, Cindy Mitchell, and Sunny Stanley; one sister, Susie Churchill; three grandsons, Tobey, Blain, and Randy Coleman; three great-granddaughters, Lindsay, Molly, and Lainey Coleman; and one niece Samantha Ferrie.
