Freddie Jackson, 64, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Tuesday morning, Oct. 29, 2019, in Longview. He was born on March 14, 1955, in Carthage to the late L.A. Allison, Sr. and Bernice Louise Jackson. He moved back to Carthage in August of 2019, from Dallas. Freddie was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Allison.

Survivors include his sons, Elgin Jackson of Overton and Deffery Jackson of Longview; brothers, Benjamin Allison, L.A. Allison, Jr. and Jeffery Lynn Allison all of Carthage; sisters, Johnnie Louise Allison and Millie Allison both of Carthage; and numerous grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends also survive.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 1-5 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
